The Assistant Coach training program is currently being developed into an online training program that will provide much broader access for Chapters to expose their board members, coaches and volunteers to the content. The home office will be working on this project through the balance of 2010 and the program will be released in early 2011.

The First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academies revolve around the Life Skills Experience. Participants from around the world who have demonstrated exceptional golf and leadership skills are nominated by their Chapters to attend a week-long camp offering life skills and leadership development workshops, golf clinics, and career exploration. The First Tee Coach Program is an educational training program that prepares staff and volunteers at Chapters of The First Tee to deliver The First Tee Life Skills Experience, which includes the TARGET program, as well as the Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace levels of certification. The coaching philosophy that encompasses these programs was developed with input from leading experts in the field of youth development.

The First Tee Life Skills Experience is one of the unique features that differentiates The First Tee from many other successful junior golf programs.
