The First Tee home office is extremely pleased to announce that General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and founding chairman of America's Promise Alliance, provided the keynote address during our Network Meeting Gala Dinner on Sunday, March 1 from 7-10 p.m.
"There is no greater individual to share his thoughts and insights about the challenges our young people face today, and what we can collectively do to improve the well-being of our youth, than General Powell," said Joe Louis Barrow, Jr., chief executive officer of The First Tee.
Last September, The First Tee joined the America's Promise Alliance partner network, working together to create positive and lasting outcomes for young people.
General Powell spoke about the shared missions of our respective organizations and how we can help prepare and motivate young people to become responsible and productive citizens.
"This is a unique, once in a lifetime occasion, and we are pleased to provide this opportunity to the network," said Barrow.
